The 'Loud' singer was honored with her own waxwork at London's Madame Tussauds museum where she took center stage at the attraction's interactive Music Zone alongside Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and the late Amy Winehouse.

LOS ANGELES — In her first televised interview since being assaulted by her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, Rihanna told 20/20's Diane Sawyer that she felt ashamed to have been involved with the "Kiss Kiss" singer in the first place.
"That's embarrassing that that's the type of person that I fell in love with," Rihanna said in an interview that aired Friday night on ABC. "[I was] so far in love, so unconditional that I went back. It's humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It's a traumatizing experience."
Rihanna told Sawyer that during the Feb. 8 attack, Brown put her in a headlock twice and bit her ears and fingers. Still, she found herself crawling back to the fellow R&B star soon after the incident, which took place on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
"I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong," admitted Rihanna. "But again ... I'm a human being, and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I'm not perfect. Also it's pretty natural for that to be the first reaction. ... It's completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself. The minute the physical wounds go away you want this thing to go away. This is a memory you don't want to have ever again."
Rihanna said she later realized how important it was for her to send the right message to the people who look up to her.
"When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part," she said. "I couldn't be responsible for that. Even if Chris never hit me again, who's to say their boyfriend won't? Who's to say they won't kill these girls? I didn't realize how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives until that happened."

LOS ANGELES — On the night that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, Rihanna says all she kept thinking was "when is it going to stop?"
"It wasn't the same person that says I love you," the 21-year-old Rihanna tells ABC's Diane Sawyer of Brown in a 20/20 interview airing Friday, a portion of which was shown this morning on the network's Good Morning America.
"He had no soul in his eyes," the singer continues. "Just blank. He was clearly blacked-out. There was no person when I looked at him."
Rihanna confirms earlier reports that the fight began after she saw a text message from another woman on Brown's cell phone as they were leaving a pre-Grammy Awards party.
"I caught him in a lie, and he wouldn't tell the truth. And I wouldn't drop it," she says. "I couldn't take that he kept lying to me, and he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it ... It escalated into him being violent towards me. And it was ugly."
Rihanna tells Sawyer that during the Feb. 8 attack, Brown put her in a headlock twice and bit her ears and fingers.
"I was battered, I was bleeding, I was swollen in my face," she says. "My next option was to get out of the car and walk, start walking in a gown and a bloody face."
Yet, just three weeks after the incident, Rihanna and Brown were together again in Miami, a getaway that she now admits was a mistake.
"I went through a host of emotions," she explains. "It was confusing for me. I was still attached by love. But I wasn't thinking about the reality of the situation."
When asked about her feelings now, Rihanna says, "I don't hate him at all. I actually love and care about him. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up. And just take this as something you had to go through to grow up and learn."
The "Umbrella" singer also says she wanted to open up about the attack in order to close this chapter of her life.
"I knew I had to do this in order to move on for me and in order for my fans to move on with me because it would always be a question in their mind," she says. "I don't want that five years from now every time they see Rihanna, they think of Chris Brown beating me. That's not who I am. It's just one thing that happened to me."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rihanna is bringing her "R" rating to the upcoming American Music Awards.
The 21-year-old singer has been added to the list of performers for the 37th annual ceremony, People reports.
LOS ANGELES — Months after being assaulted on the eve of the Grammy Awards by her then boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna is opening up about how the attack changed her.
"I'm stronger, wiser and more aware," the 21-year-old singer reveals in the December issue of Glamour magazine. You don't realize how much your decisions affect people you don't even know, like fans."
"It has taught me so much," Rihanna continues. "I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?"
Shortly after the February beating incident, a photo seemingly showing Rihanna's battered and bruised face was allegedly leaked by the police. She considers the moment one of the most horrifying times of her life.
"It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody," she shares. "I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women."
As challenging as the past year has been, Rihanna is hoping to put her past experiences to good use.
"Domestic violence is a big secret," she explains. "No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can't tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don't dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It's one of the things we [women] will hide, because it's embarrassing."
"My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery," she continues. "The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women."
Rihanna says many of the challenges she faced will shine through on her forthcoming album, Rated R, scheduled to drop on Nov. 23.
"I put everything I've wanted to say for the past eight months into my music," she says. "The songs are really personal. It's rock 'n' roll, but it's really hip-hop: If Lil' Wayne and Kings of Leon like my album, then I'll feel good. I would not change anything about it. Even if people don't love it, I made exactly the piece of art that I wanted to make. It's super fearless—which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place."
