LONDON — Kelly Osbourne has been arrested for allegedly slapping a U.K. journalist last summer at a London nightclub, according to People.
Osbourne, 24, has been released on bail and is scheduled to speak again with authorities in March.
According to People, Osbourne is accused of striking Zoe Griffin after the gossip columnist wrote a column mocking her model boyfriend Luke Worrall.
Griffin wrote of the exchange in an article last August for The Daily Mirror entitled, "How I Was Lamped by Kelly Osbourne. The journalist claims Osbourne approached her at the London nightclub, Punk.
"She began ear-bashing me about two lines in my column when I wrote her model boyfriend Luke Worrall had to ask friends how an earthquake was caused," wrote Griffin.
By Griffin's account, Osbourne then approached her and said: "I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he's upset."
Before she knew it, Griffin claims she "felt a hard slap to my right cheekbone."
When reached by People, a rep for Osbourne declined comment.
