LOS ANGELES — Jennifer Aniston was cleaning house for some time in anticipation of her 40s.
"The last five years have been about spring cleaning for me," the 41-year-old actress reveals in the May issue of the U.K's Harper's Bazaar. "Now it's time for my rebirth. I love trying new things. I can't just be put in a box."
Embracing her age also means accepting the reality of wrinkles, so chances are Aniston won't be reaching for the Botox anytime soon.
"I could do it, and I mean these lines are getting deeper every day, but when I tell you what's happened to me — these lines are just about living," she explains.
Aniston, who is currently starring alongside rumored love interest Gerard Butler in The Bounty Hunter, is willing to admit that she's a bit of a health freak. However, she's more than willing to cut loose every now and then.
"Look I eat really well and I work out, but I also indulge when I want to," she says. "I don't starve myself in an extremist way. You're not taking away my coffee or my dairy or my glass of wine because I'd be devastated."
So what beauty advice does she have for others? "Just stop eating s--- every day," she proclaims.
Aniston says she's proud of how far women have come in her lifetime, mentioning Hillary Clinton's bid for presidency as but one example. A little closer to home, the former Friends star says she's impressed by the current girl power in Hollywood.
"I love what Drew Barrymore is doing with directing," she says. "It's so much about a rebirth for her, and I love it when people are living in the now, like her. I hate it when people look back and regret what they haven't got.
"That's how I feel about my own life now. And my God, let's talk about how much I love Demi Moore as well. What kind of Kool-Aid is she drinking?"
