HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man accused of stalking her.
Jason R. Peyton, 24, was detained last week when police found him in Los Angeles with a sharp object, duct tape and love notes written for the actress, according to the Associated Press.
Peyton reportedly traveled cross-country under the belief that he would marry Aniston. He was apprehended after spending several days trying to find the former Friends star on Sunset Boulevard.
According to court documents filed Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., Peyton has been accused of stalking others and is disobeying court orders that he must take anti-psychotic medications.
Peyton has been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold. A court hearing on the matter is scheduled for Aug. 9.
