"My thoughts [when I look back on it now] is like, 'Why did it happen?' " Brown tells MTV News correspondent Sway during the network special, "Chris Brown: The Interview," airing Friday. "Like, 'What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?' That's what I'm thinking with myself. That's what my thoughts are, basically, now."
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Fans anxious to hear Chris Brown's new album Graffiti won't have to wait as long.
The 20-year-old singer has pushed the album's release date up by a week, with his third studio release now dropping on Dec. 8, according to a statement on his official Web site.

The video, which is Brown's first since pleading guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna, was directed by Joseph Kahn, whose past work has included the likes of "Toxic" and "Womanizer" by Britney Spears.
LOS ANGELES — Chris Brown has announced plans for a month-long concert run.
The R&B star's "Fan Appreciation Tour" will play small venues in 19 U.S. cities, beginning Nov. 14 at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas.
It will be Brown's first concert run since his February arrest for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer was sentenced to five years of probation and community service for the attack in August.
Brown's record company, Jive Records, said the tour is intended to thank his loyal fans for their support.
A portion of the tour's proceeds will be donated to a Los Angeles domestic violence intervention charity called the Jenesse Center, as well as an organization providing friendships and jobs for people with developmental disabilities called Best Buddies International.
The tour announcement came on the same day as Rihanna debuted her new single, "Russian Roulette."
Brown released his new single, "I Can Transform Ya," in September. The track is from his forthcoming album, "Graffiti."

"I'm in shock, because, first of all, that's not who I am as a person, and that's not who I promise I want to be," the 20-year-old singer tells Larry King in an interview scheduled to air on CNN Wednesday night.
