The Oscar-winning actress has confirmed that she has filed for divorce after a cheating scandal rocked the couple's marriage in March.
"Yes, I have filed for divorce," Bullock tells People for its latest issue, in which she also reveals she has adopted a 3½-month-old son named Louis. "I'm sad and I am scared."
No other details about the divorce filing were revealed.
The couple's marriage fell apart shortly after Bullock won best actress at the Academy Awards in early March for her role in The Blind Side. The fallout began when San Diego tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee told In Touch Weekly that she had an 11-month-long affair with James. That was followed by several more women claiming to have had sexual trysts with the Monster Garage star.
Bullock, 45, and James, 41 married in 2005 at a ranch north of Santa Barbara.
