HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sandra Bullock is shooting down claims that she made a sex tape with her estranged husband, Jesse James.
"There is no sex tape," the 45-year-old actress told People in a statement on Tuesday. "There never has been one and there never will be one."
Bullock's denial comes after a report surfaced that James was in possession of a graphic sex tape that could be used as leverage in a potential divorce case. It was her first her public comments since a cheating scandal rocked the couple's marriage last month.
The Hollywood pair has reportedly gone their separate ways since the Monster Garage star was accused of having at least four affairs. Sources tell RadarOnline that Bullock is concerned about having her wholesome image shattered with a nasty divorce case.
"The main reason Sandra has not filed divorce papers yet is because she doesn't want to trigger Jesse into attacking her publicly and revealing her secrets," an insider revealed. "Sandra is one of the most private actresses in Hollywood. The last thing she wants is Jesse out there talking about her and talking about her marriage.
"She's been worried that if she drops divorce papers on him now he'll want revenge and will try to harm her reputation," the source added. "His behavior is so erratic that she doesn't want to send him over the edge."
