LOS ANGELES — The stars stepped out Wednesday night for the People's Choice Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES — While she doesn't possess any fangs, Sandra Bullock still managed to win big at Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Bullock won for favorite movie actress and her film, The Proposal, captured favorite comedy movie honors at the 36th annual event, in which fans selects the winners in categories spanning TV, movies and music.
"I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good," joked the 45-year-old actress during her acceptance speech. "Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter."
The rest of the night was seemingly dominated by vampires. The Twilight Saga picked up four trophies, including favorite movie, franchise and on-screen team for stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
HBO's True Blood and the CW's The Vampire Diaries also picked up trophies, winning favorite TV obsession and favorite new TV drama, respectively.
Queen Latifah hosted the event, held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, for the fourth consecutive year.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Twilight scored a leading seven nominations to lead the field of nominees for the 2010 People's Choice Awards, organizers announced Tuesday.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "The Dark Knight" captured five honors Wednesday night, topping all winners at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards.
The Batman film was named favorite movie and favorite action movie. The film's star, Christian Bale, was named favorite superhero and also received an honor for favorite on-screen pairing, along with the late Heath Ledger.
Country singer Carrie Underwood also won big. The former "American Idol" winner won three times, picking up awards for favorite female singer, country song "Last Name," and star under 35 years-old.
"Fans and people voting for me are what gave me a career in the first place," said Underwood, who also kicked off the evening with a performance of "I Know You Won't."
"This is an amazing night," added the 25-year-old singer.
Other winners selected by Internet voters in categories covering movies, television and music included Will Smith for favorite male movie star and Reese Witherspoon for favorite female movie star.
The awards show was hosted by Queen Latifah and held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
