NEW YORK — Naomi Campbell could be in trouble with the law again.
The 39-year-old supermodel has been accused of attacking her limo driver and then running away from the scene, the Associated Press reports.
Police say Campbell slapped and punched the driver after becoming upset while they were driving around New York City on Tuesday afternoon. She then allegedly fled the scene when the driver stopped the car in Manhattan and dialed 911.
A search is currently underway for the troubled star.
Campbell has a storied history when it comes to violent outbursts. She made headlines in April 2008 when a dispute began over her luggage as she was preparing to catch a flight at London's Heathrow Airport. She was later sentenced to 200 hours community service and fined $4,500 after pleading guilty plea to assaulting two police officers.
Campbell was also famously accused in 2005 of attacking her assistant with a Blackberry. That was followed by two separate incidents involving her maids. The first resulted in Campbell pleading guilty in January 2007 to a charge of reckless assault against former maid Ana Scolavino. Then last year she settled with another ex-maid Gaby Gibson, who had accused the British catwalker of striking her and calling her names for not being able to locate a pair of jeans.
