HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Heidi Montag is opening up about her religious beliefs, confessing she hopes to record a Christian album someday.
"I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God," she revealed to USA Today.
The 21-year-old star of "The Hills," who identifies herself as "kind of non-denominational Baptist," told the newspaper that being a positive influence is always a top priority in her life.
"As a parent, I would not want my daughter looking up to someone throwing money away, on drugs or coming out of rehab," said Montag, who confessed that she once planned on devoting her life to God as a missionary in Africa.
Montag said both she and her boyfriend, fellow "Hills" star Spencer Pratt, are devoted readers of the Bible.
"He's the most amazing person to exist. Everything you could ever want in a best friend, soul mate and boyfriend," she said of her 24-year-old beau, known as the show's resident troublemaker.
While the lovers are devoted to their religion, it doesn't mean the ongoing feud the couple has with their "Hills" co-star, Lauren Conrad, will ever be resolved.
"I don't think people are ever going to get that," she said of a possible truce.
As for what fans can expect from the upcoming season of the hit MTV reality show, Montag revealed that viewers will meet her older sister, Holly, 24, an aspiring filmmaker who once shared a home with Montag and Conrad.
"Holly and Lauren were inseparable for a while," Montag said. "But they stopped being friends when Lauren and I stopped being friends."
