HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jason Wahler has been charged with drunken driving following his arrest earlier this month in Newport Beach, Calif.
Wahler, 23, was charged Monday with misdemeanor driving under the influence and having a blood-alcohol level over the limit of .08 percent, according to the Associated Press.
The former Hills star could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, if convicted.
Wahler was taken into custody on March 19 after police saw him make an abrupt turn and stop in a traffic lane. His blood alcohol level was allegedly .19% at the time of his arrest.
The DUI was at least the sixth alcohol-related arrest for Wahler in recent years. One week earlier, he was captured on video being cuffed by Mexican police after he allegedly got into a fight at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas.
"I am very, very ashamed of everything," Wahler recently told Us Weekly. "I am very sorry for everything that's happened."
