HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Travis Barker was released from a Georgia hospital on Monday morning after he was severely injured in a tragic plane crash a week earlier, The Associated Press reports.
The former Blink-182 drummer and celebrity disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein were the lone survivors when a Learjet crashed during takeoff just before midnight on Sept. 19 at Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Four people were killed in the accident.
Both Barker and Goldstein, who was released from the hospital last week, suffered severe burns. They are both expected to fully recover.
The 32-year-old Barker is reportedly en route to his home in California, but doing so via the ground.
"He's on a bus headed to L.A." a source tells People magazine. "Trust me, he will never fly again — ever."
Shortly after the crash, National Transportation Safety officials said that the cockpit voice recorder had revealed the pilots thought one of the plane's tires had blown and were trying to abort their takeoff.
