HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Audrina Patridge is speaking out about Lauren Conrad's alleged hookup with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby.
"I just wanted to say thank you to the fans who are taking a step back from their pre conceived notions and looking at this whole rumor situation from all angles," the 23-year-old Patridge wrote on her MySpace blog Wednesday. There are a lot of things you guys don't get to see. But we have real feelings and these are all real situations that we have to deal with, not only amongst ourselves but with the entire world watching, and judging."
Appearing on Wednesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, Patridge said she was upset with how her fellow "Hills" star Conrad has handled the rumors.
"After I found these rumors out she chose to talk to me through the tabloids and not come directly to me or call me as a true friend," she told the host. "We're just trying to figure this out."
"Neither of them have really talked to me or made an effort," Patridge continued. "So, I really don't know what to believe. I don't want to believe it."
Patridge told DeGeneres that she even called Conrad, only to get hung up on.
"That was my way of making an effort and asking her," she said. "I never accused anyone. I just straight out asked them if they did it or not."
Last Friday, the 22-year-old Conrad denied any wrongdoing on her part.
"Bottom line, I did not and would never hook up with Justin," she wrote on her MySpace blog. "The worse thing is knowing that a friend, that I've known for years and even shared a home with, thinks that I'm capable of that kind of betrayal. I would NEVER hurt a friend like that!"
"You KNOW I didn't do this and I have never given you a reason not to trust me," she continued directly to Patridge. "What you are doing is hurtful and I don't want to fight with you."
