HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Jonas Brothers are hitting the road for their first world tour.
The sibling trio unveiled concert dates Wednesday for the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009, which will begin in South America in mid-May before heading to the United Kingdom and Europe.
The band will then kick off a 44-date North American leg on June 20 at the brand new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas. Other stops will include Boston (July 17), Las Vegas (Aug. 1), Los Angeles (Aug. 7) and Tampa (Aug. 18), with the run ending on Aug. 31 at the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
"American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks and rock act Honor Society will be among the artists joining the Jonas Brothers during the concert run.
The world tour will be in support of the band's upcoming new album, which drops in June.
"We've been hard at work in the studio and can't wait for you to hear/see our new music," said the group in a statement. "We've setup an amazing new stage for this tour that allows us to be even closer to each and everyone of you. There are also fun new tricks like a Water Screen and other crazy stuff. We are so excited and can't wait for this amazing opportunity."
Tickets for the North America shows will go on sale to Jonas Brothers fan club members in select cities beginning March 16. The general public can begin purchasing tickets on March 20 through livenation.com.
