Is the world ready for another Lohan? We all know the tabloids are.
Ali Lohan, who's turning 13 three days before Christmas, is entering a career in both acting and singing at a record pace. While most girls her age cruise the stores at the mall for the latest pop music, Lohan's decided to already mark her territory on the racks. She's making her debut with a Christmas Album, entitled Lohan Holiday, which has recently been released in stores across the country.
The CD is a compilation of some old Christmas favorites, and also includes original duet tracks with older sister, Lindsay Lohan, as well as with Grammy Award-winner Amy Grant.
"Recording the album was so much fun," Lohan says in her endearingly raspy voice. "Standing in the recording studio was amazing. I love doing [music]."
Getting into the business wasn't a challenge for Lohan. Not only has she already released an album, she's also apparently got "a show in the works, and also a movie."
It's hard for her to explain how everything developed so quickly.
"I don't know, it just happened," she says. "I went on a few commercials, and they called me up and asked me if I wanted to audition [for other projects]."
Lohan couldn't decide which she liked better, acting or singing, and so she just plunged in and began her career in both worlds. This would ordinarily be quite a handful for someone still attending middle school, but Lohan seems to have the confidence it takes to handle this extreme multi-tasking.
"My mom helped me through a lot of it," Lohan says. "My sister [Lindsay] gave me some advice; to keep my head up high, and stay strong."
Of course, nothing as high-profile as making an album can come too easily to anyone. There were some nerves to work through for Lohan.
"I was a little nervous, I'm gonna admit," says Lohan, "but then when I got more relaxed, got to know the people, I was more comfortable."
