Matthew Settle Pictures: Matthew Settle attends the American Museum of Natural History's spectacular Museum Dance on April 15, 2010 in New York City.
The annual Museum Dance, with the theme Spring Safari, included dinner, dancing, dessert, and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to support the Museum's scientific and education programs. Celebrated as the premier junior benefit in New York City, the Museum Dance is also the city's longest-running such event, spanning more than four decades.
"I'm so happy to serve as a Chairman of the American Museum of Natural History’s Museum Dance," said supermodel Veronica Webb, who joins a group of illustrious supporters that includes Fabiola Beracasa and Ivanka Kushner. "The work done at the Museum, from the outstanding scientific research to the education programs, touches people of all ages and visitors from around the world."
The Museum Dance raises funds for a wide-ranging slate of Museum programs, from equipping state-of-the-art laboratories used by Museum scientists and students to supporting scientific expeditions and purchasing materials for the Museum's classrooms.
