Christiane Amanpour of ABC News hosted the opening night ceremony that celebrated those who dream, succeed and inspire. Eighteen-time Grand Slam champion Martina Navartilova, American star James Blake, wheelchair tennis great Esther Vergeer and USTA member Dori Samadzai-Bonner were honored during the ceremony. Grammy award-winning singer Gloria Estefan performed her inspirational song "Reach" and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg was also in attendance.
