HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Eminem has succeeded in creating a lot of buzz around his latest music video, although Bill O'Reilly doesn't seem overly impressed with the controversial rapper or his fans.
A controversial figure himself, the Fox News host slammed Eminem Wednesday night on "The O'Reilly Factor."
"Few Americans take the vile rapper Eminem seriously," said O'Reilly. "He represents the lowest form of entertainment in this country and is a publicity hound to boot."
O'Reilly was taking aim at the music star over his just released video, "We Made You," which mocks several stars, including Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan. The host said he was particularly offended by Eminem attacking Alaska Governor and former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
"I'll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner, nail her/ Baby, say hello to my little friend," the 36-year-old singer raps on the song.
"It's so crude what he does," said O'Reilly. "Kids see it, not adults."
"Eminem is obviously on an obscene rant about Sarah Palin, it's totally obscene, totally inappropriate," he added.
O'Reilly argued that "no one over 25 listens to him" and the ones that do follow Eminem are troubled.
"All I want to do is repeat that Eminem means nothing," said O'Reilly. "The video means nothing. It's played for kids that are confused."
