HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Christina Applegate is soaking up every moment of motherhood after welcoming daughter Sadie Grace with fiancé Martyn LeNoble on Jan. 27.
"I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it," the 39-year-old actress tells the new issue of People. "Sometimes I stand there going, 'I'm not doing any of this right!' And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, 'Ah, we accomplished this together.' "
Applegate says it's been non-stop love ever since her daughter first arrived.
"I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound," she says of holding her baby in the hospital. "And I'm more in love with her every minute of the day."
Her daughter has also been a blessing after overcoming breast cancer with a double mastectomy in 2008.
She's healed me in so many ways," Applegate says. "She's just made my life so much better. She's opened my whole soul."
