HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Elton John and husband David Furnish are showing off their new baby boy, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, for the first time.
The couple, who welcomed their first child via a surrogate on Christmas Day, appears alongside their newborn in this week's issue of Us Weekly.
"I've never felt anything like it in my life," John tells the mag of holding his son for the first time. "You're so awestruck. What can you say? You take it in. The feeling, the joy, the warmth of his body, his breathing...I will never forget that experience ever."
"He's a content little guy," added Furnish. "He just loves to be nurtured, cuddled, and sung to."
John, 62, and Furnish, 48, married in a civil ceremony in 2005. They donated all proceeds from the photos appearing in the mag to their favorite charities.
