HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan could be headed back to jail after an investigation determined she committed battery last month against a female staff member at the Betty Ford Center.
Riverside sheriff's Sgt. Joe Borja issued a press release Monday, saying investigators plan to hand the case over to local prosecutors for review, the Associated Press reports.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox has previously warned the actress that a probation violation would result in jail time.
Lohan is accused of attacking worker Dawn Holland at the Rancho Mirage, Calif. rehab center on Dec. 12. The altercation allegedly took place when the Mean Girls star returned after curfew and refused Holland's request to take a Breathalyzer test.
The starlet was reportedly released from Betty Ford on Monday after a 90-day rehab stint. She is due back in court on Feb. 25 for a mandatory progress report hearing during which Fox is expected to address the rehab incident.
