FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Former teen heartthrob David Cassidy has been arrested in Florida for DUI.
The now 60-year-old Cassidy was busted Wednesday in Fort Pierce after police spotted his white Mercedes driving erratically on State Road 91 just after 6 p.m., according to the local ABC affiliate WPBF-TV.
Cassidy reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later blew a .14 on a breath test, well above the legal limit in the state of Florida.
He told officers that he had a glass of wine at lunch and a hydrocodone tablet in the afternoon, WPBF said.
Police say there was a half-full bottle of bourbon on the back seat of the former Partridge Family star's vehicle.
Cassidy, a Fort Lauderdale resident, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain a single lane and open container.
He was released hours later from St. Lucie County Jail after posting $350 bail.
