HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sharon Osbourne has hit back at Vince Neil after the rocker called her out in his new book.
In the upcoming tome Tattoos & Tequila: To Hell and Back with One of Rock's Most Notorious Frontmen, Neil says he still resents how he and his Mötley Crüe bandmates were treated by the rock matriarch when they supported Ozzy Osbourne on tour in the mid-1990s.
"It just really sickens me today to watch everybody fawning all over Sharon Osbourne," the 49-year-old writes. "She's a talent judge on TV and she has her own show and this and that. This is the most evil, s--tiest woman I've ever met in my life. She would f--king have you killed if it was to her advantage… If people really knew."
When asked about the comments, Osbourne told the New York Post she was "absolutely heartbroken."
"I am very, very saddened by it," she said. "My husband called him and said, 'What's the problem?' and (Neil) kind of back-tracked. (It's) a case of 'I need names in this book. I need to shock.' It is sad when people do that. They want to sell you out. I think he is probably very jealous of Ozzy, but he dare not pick on him because the fans will turn on him, so he goes after me."
The America's Got Talent judge also admitted that she kept a close eye on her husband back when the two were touring.
"He has murdered somebody in a car," Osbourne said of Neil, referring to a 1984 accident that sent him to jail for the death of his passenger, Hanoi Rock drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley. "He crippled two other people and he is still driving drunk. And that is why I used to keep my husband away from him. And if that makes me a bad person, then I am a bad person."
