HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Chris Klein was formally charged Monday with two misdemeanor counts of DUI stemming from his arrest earlier this month in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the 31-year-old actor was charged for driving under the influence with a prior conviction and driving with a .08 blood alcohol level or higher.
If convicted, he faces a minimum of four days in jail and up to a year sentence because of a prior drunken driving case.
Klein was arrested on June 16 after police noticed his vehicle weaving between lanes on the 101 Freeway. He reportedly had a blood alcohol level that was three times the legal limit of .08.
This is the second time Klein has been busted on suspicion of DUI. He also faced drunk-driving charges in 2005 after police stopped him in San Diego County.
Last week, Klein checked into the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah.
