HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Miley Cyrus is silencing online chatter that she and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth have split.
"Just wanna clear up a rumor. Liam and I did not break. EVER! We are so happy and a lot of that has to do with the amazing relationship he has with my family," she wrote Friday on her official Web site.
"We are both so busy right now, so having them by our side supporting us and our career is such a blessing!" continued Cyrus. "So any type of rumor that said there was drama with them is completely false. Thanks for letting me clear that up. :)"
Cyrus, 17, and Hemsworth, 20, met last year while filming The Last Song in Tybee Island, Ga.
"We were filming together every day, and hanging out every day," the Australian actor previously told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "We really didn't have any other friends down there, so we just hung out with each other."
Naturally, the couple's first kiss happened as they shot the film, which hit theaters in April.
"We turned up on set the very first day and originally it was just a scene where we were running through the water and splashing and having fun," Hemsworth explained. "And halfway through the scene, the director, Julie Anne [Robinson], she yelled 'Kiss!' And we got thrown into a kiss on the boat."
He added: "It was good, 'cause, you know, [you] get the first one out of the way, and it was fine."
