HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle are no longer dating, a rep for the actress confirmed Monday.
"Yes, it's true, they have broken up," publicist Brad Cafarelli said in a statement. "There is no third party involved and they care deeply about each other and will remain friends."
Jonas, 19, and Belle, 22, met last September when the "10,000 B.C." star appeared in the Jonas Brothers video "Lovebug." Jonas was dating Taylor Swift at the time, but split with the country star within a month of meeting Belle. His breakup with the "Love Story" singer was much publicized in the tabloids, particularly after Swift blamed Belle for the couple's breakup and suggested that her ex had perhaps cheated on her.
"They've been together since we broke up," Swift told Us Weekly shortly after her split from Jonas. "That's why we broke up — because he met her."
Swift told the mag that she was handling the heartbreak by writing songs about the experience and she warned future boyfriends to beware.
"I think [guys] are starting to realize that if they are involved with me in any way, I will probably write a song about them," she said. "You know what, if they don't want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn't do bad things."
Jonas later insisted in a MySpace blog that Belle had nothing to do with his break up from Swift.
"It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true," he wrote.
