HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — John Mayer says he's cool with those tabloid photos that surfaced recently of him and his new love Jennifer Aniston sun bathing together in Miami.
"Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control," Mayer told Entertainment Tonight at Monday night's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York.
"This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don't fault him, I don't fault anybody, I don't fault you, I don't fault this or that," he added. "There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"
Mayer, 30, and Aniston, 39, became front page news when they were first spotted together two weeks ago. The former "Friends" star met up with the singer for a late lunch on April 25 at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink. Later in the evening, the duo ventured out to Casa Tua on South Beach.
"They were affectionate — definitely touchy, feely," a source told Usmagazine.com of the couple's dinner.
Aniston is currently in Miami shooting the feature film "Marley & Me," which co-stars Owen Wilson.
