HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It seems there might be some more "Gossip" spreading in the Upper East Side.
The producers of the CW series "Gossip Girl" are reportedly planning a spinoff series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new series would reportedly be set at an all-girls boarding school and could possibly center around Taylor Momsen, who currently plays Jenny Humphrey in "Gossip Girl."
The Reporter says that it's also possible for a new character to be introduced in the fall, who would then been the central focus of the new show. Either way, the spinoff will likely follow Jenny's storyline from the "Gossip Girl" book series.
When asked to comment about the report, "Gossip Girl" executive producer Josh Schwartz denied that there were any plans for a spinoff in the works.
"Not sure how this got out there — but no plans for spinoff at this moment," Schwartz told E! Online. "The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure Season 2 gets off to a great start."
