HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Zac Efron celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday with close friends and family.
The actor, whose "High School Musical 3" hits theaters on Friday, started the evening with dinner at L.A.'s Pace restaurant, where he was joined by his parents and brother, as well as his girlfriend, fellow "HSM" star Vanessa Hudgens, according to People.
Also reportedly joining in the fun were "HSM's" Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman, and a group of young stars that included Aly and AJ Michalka, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow and Michelle Trachtenberg.
Guests are said to have given the now-legal Efron several gifts of alcohol.
Efron and Hudgens reportedly left the restaurant around midnight and headed for a nearby hotel, where they hosted friends for an after-party.
Last week, Efron and his fellow "HSM" co-stars spoke out during a press conference to promote their upcoming film about being asked for autographs while using the restroom. Efron says it usually entails a father chasing after him.
Said Efron: "[The fathers] are like, 'Look, man. We've been finished eating for an hour and a half and my daughter won't let me leave!' "
