HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Fans of AC/DC will soon be able to "rock" with the band again.
According to the group's authoritative fan site Electric Shock, the Australian rockers will embark on a world tour before the end of the year.
The tour will be in support of the AC/DC's new album, which is expected to be titled "Black Ice." The legendary band's first new material since 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip" will be released this October in North America and sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores.
According to the site, the first single from the album, "Runaway Train," is expected to hit radio in late August. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien.
AC/DC was formed in Sydney, Australia by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young in 1973. Among their notable hits over the years are "Highway to Hell" and "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)."
On Monday, it was revealed that their single, "Let There Be Rock," will appear in the video game "Rock Band 2," which arrives in stores this September.
