HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brandon Flowers has found a quite the savior for his debut solo effort.
The Killers frontman has premiered his "Crossfire" music video, which stars Charlize Theron. The actress plays a badass heroine who comes to the rescue on multiple occasions to save Flowers before the pair ride off into the sunset together.
The video is directed by former The Matrix and Star Wars stuntman Nash Edgerton.
"Crossfire" is the first single off the singer's forthcoming album, Flamingo, which drops on Sept. 14. The track is reportedly produced by Stuart Price, who helmed the Killers' 2008 album Day & Age.
"To be honest, I personally would prefer it if this was a Killers record," he previously told the British mag NME. "Some of these songs were originally destined to be Killers songs, but it is what it is. I certainly never sat around dreaming of going out on my own, but singing songs and writing songs, it's kind of what I do, you know? And I just don't want to stop right now."
