NEW YORK — John Goodman stopped by the Late Show on Wednesday night, where he discussed his dramatic weight loss with David Letterman, and joked: "it's kind of like letting the gas out of the balloon."
"I'd lose 60 pounds every spring. Then I got too fond of the barley corn and start missing it too much – I'd gain it all back and then some, every year," said Goodman, who admitted he was "pushing 400 pounds" at times.
Letterman told Goodman that he was looking "wonderful," but the actor said he still has a ways to go before being fully satisfied with his appearance.
"It's like night and day. ... I'm getting a lot of exercise, feeling great – it's going to be an ongoing process for the rest of my life," he said.
So how far will Goodman go with his weight loss?
"I'm not gonna look like Paris Hilton or anything," he joked.
