HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jimmy Fallon busted out his Neil Young impression Thursday night for the latest rendition of "Pants on the Ground."
Fallon, who previously impersonated Young while singing the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, offered a heart-wrenching rendition of the buzz-worthy tune. The track caught fire after 62-year-old General Larry Platt performed it on Wednesday night's American Idol broadcast.
"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground," go the veteran's lyrics. "With the gold in your mouth, hat turned sideway, pants hit the ground / Call yourself a cool cat, looking like a fool, walkin' downtown with your pants on the ground!"
"I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit," admitted Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Platt and his song about low-riding pants have since gone viral, with remixes popping up all over the Web.
