HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston and Jon Stewart went back in time Thursday night when the actress dropped by The Daily Show.
You see, back when Aniston was starring on Friends and Stewart was polishing his craft as a comedian, the pair hooked up on a date.
"I asked you out," Stewart recalled on his popular Comedy Central show. "And it was lovely. Here's what I remember, you brought so many of your friends. And I remember thinking, 'She's so excited to be on a date with me, she wants me to get to know her posse.' "
"If I remember correctly, wasn't it sort of like, 'Hey, a group of us are going out, do you want to join?' " Aniston wondered.
No matter what the story, Stewart says he still holds fond memories of the 41-year-old star, whose new movie, The Switch, opens Friday.
"You were lovely then and you're lovely now," he said.
