HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Vanessa Hudgens says it was love at first sight when she first laid eyes on her High School Musical costar, Zac Efron.
"Right off the bat, we had a connection," the 21-year-old actress tells Glamour. "I think everybody could see it. When we had our audition, they paired us together. And he was adorable. I mean, he wasn't the guy that he is today. Like, he had a gap in his teeth. He was a whole different person."
So how has her boyfriend changed since the twosome first began dating in 2006?
"He's just grown-up," she says. "He doesn't have his gap anymore. I look at him, and I see a man."
Hudgens also says the couple enjoys a mature relationship that allows them to feed off one another.
"I think that we inspire each other," she reveals. "[I love] having someone to grow with."
Hudgens admits that she's gotten over past jealousy issues and says she want to become "more adventurous" in the coming years. So does one adventure include shopping for a home with Efron?
"Nuh-uh. No," she insists. "I mean, maybe ... maybe house-hunting for houses on our own. I mean ... which, I'm not. And he’s not, at the moment. So no."
"I just bought my house two years ago, and I adore it," she adds. "I have this Moroccan-y room on the top floor. It's the sexy cool room that I've always wanted.
