HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A Georgia man has been charged with stalking Tyra Banks and ordered to keep away from the talk-show host or face jail time, the Associated Press reports.
According to a criminal complaint, Brady Green has followed Banks from coast to coast since January. Last week, a court order was issued requiring Green to leave the 34-year-old former supermodel alone.
Green, 37, was arrested on March 18 when he showed up at the Manhattan building where "The Tyra Banks Show" is taped. According to a misdemeanor complaint filed in Criminal Court, Green had shown up several times and asked to speak with Banks.
Edward Troiano, a custodian at the building, told police Green had also made "multiple" visits to Banks' Los Angeles studio and asked to speak to her there as well. He said Green sent her letters and flowers there and had tried to reach her by phone at least five times.
Banks, who hosts "America's Next Top Model" in addition to her own daily syndicated talk show, told police Green's actions made her concerned about her safety.
Green was charged with stalking, criminal trespass and harassment, AP says.
