BOSTON — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady walked away unhurt Thursday after a morning car accident near his home in Boston's Back Bay area.
According to the Boston Globe, police were called to the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Street around 6:30 a.m. after an accident between an Audi sedan, driven by Brady, and a minivan.
One witness said the minivan went through a red light and struck the NFL star's vehicle.
A passenger in the van had to be freed with the Jaws of Life and was taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.
Brady, 33, was treated at the scene and was back on the practice field hours later.
"We're just all thankful he's fine, and glad he's back here already, and back working," rookie tight end Rob Gronkowski told ESPN.
