NEW YORK — T.I. made a triumphant return to the stage Monday night and he brought some friends to the party.
The rapper performed his first live show since being released from prison at New York hot spot Capitale. The secret event launched AXE Music's "One Night Only" concert series.
T.I. thanked his fans for their support while he was behind bars for gun charges. He also gave a shout out to Lil Wayne, who began serving a yearlong jail sentence for gun possession in March.
"I appreciate all the love y'all showed me, but there's still people behind that wall with the same struggles every day," said the 29-year-old singer. "Give it up one time for my n---a Lil Wayne."
T.I. had plenty of company at the intimate show. Others who took the stage with him included Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson, B.o.B., Cam'ron and Swizz Beatz.
