NEW YORK — The Jersey Shore cast strike appears to be coming to an end.
Two of the show's key stars, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, signed new contracts in the last 24 hours for season 3, TMZ reports.
Details of the agreements were not revealed, but both stars likely received hefty pay raises over their original contracts at $10,000 per episode.
The cast stopped shooting the upcoming third season of Jersey Shore over the weekend in order to get new contracts finalized.
"Mike decided in order to get season 3 done he was going to have to lead the pack," Sorrentino's manager, Michael Petolino, said in a press release.
Petolino says he is hopeful the remaining unsigned cast members - Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino - will soon finalize their own new contracts.
"Mike is confident the rest of the cast will rally around him," Petolino says. "He felt that he could break the stalemate by putting these rumors of a cast strike to rest by moving forward."
