HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sophie Monk is speaking out about her break-up with ex-fiancé Benji Madden, who has been getting cozy with Paris Hilton lately.
"Let me make this as plain as possible — Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton," the 28-year-old Monk said in a statement, which was published in Australia's Herald Sun.
The model-actress, who actually goofed on Hilton in the comedy "Date Night," added, "Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that. We both decided, as adults, our relationship had run its course and decided to move on. I feel no animosity towards Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment."
Hilton and Madden were seen together less than two weeks after Monk and the Good Charlotte guitarist called off their engagement.
The 27-year-old Hilton was captured sporting a ring on her engagement ring finger on Friday after departing Beverly Hills jewelry store XIV Karats.
"They've been dating about three weeks," a source close to the couple revealed to E! Online last week. "Just kind of quietly hooking up and getting to know each other better. But so far, he's really into her. And Paris really likes him, too!"
