COBB COUNTY, Ga. — R&B singer Ne-Yo was arrested for reckless driving and driving without a valid license on Monday in Cobb County, Georgia.
According to TMZ, which first reported the arrest, the 28-year-old singer was clocked driving more than 100 miles per hour in his 2006 Range Rover.
Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, released his debut album, "In My Own Words," through Def Jam Recordings in 2006. The release debuted on top of the Billboard 200 album charts, thanks to the single "So Sick," which was number one on the Billboard 100 single charts at the same time.
Ne-Yo is also an accomplished songwriter, having penned such hits as Rihanna's "Unfaithful," Mario's "Let Me Love You," and Beyonce's chart-topping hit "Irreplaceable."
