Singer Mario Arrested for Assaulting His Mother

Mario, arrested, arrest, busted, assault, case, mom, mother, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010BALTIMORE — R&B star Mario has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother inside the Baltimore apartment they share.

The 24-year-old singer was arrested early Friday morning and charged with one count of second-degree assault, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Shawntia Hardaway claims her son was "throwing and damaging property" and pushed her, causing minor pain.

Police found several broken items inside the apartment, including a damaged china cabinet, a busted mirror and a large hole in the closet door.

Hardaway, a former heroin addict, alleges it was the second attack this week. The singer's mother claims she hit her head after Mario pushed her "eight feet into a living room wall" on Monday.

Mario, whose real name is Mario Dewar Bennett, was later released on $50,000 bond.
