HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Shia LaBeouf is recovering well from his car crash last month, according to his "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" co-star Isabel Lucas, who was traveling with the actor at the time of the accident.
"We're both fine and Shia's fine as well," the 23-year-old actress told Access Hollywood Sunday night at Hayden Panettiere's Whaleman Foundation Benefit, which was held at Eva Longoria's Beso restaurant in Hollywood.
LaBeouf's truck struck another vehicle in the early morning hours of July 27 and rolled over following the impact. The 22-year-old actor was cited for misdemeanor DUI, but police ruled that he was not at fault in the accident.
LaBeouf suffered a severe injury to his left hand in the accident, which required surgery.
"His hand is healing well," Lucas, who suffered only minor injuries, told Access.
Star magazine reported last week that LaBeouf might have to have his pinky amputated, but that rumor was quickly denied.
"That story is a complete fabrication. Absolute gossip," his rep told Access.
