HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Shannen Doherty says she's over the high-school drama she once encountered with co-star Jennie Garth.
"There was almost a comfort in knowing that I was getting to work with somebody who had been on the original with me and gone through the same experiences," the 37-year-old actress tells Radar magazine of the duos return to the new 90210 on The CW. "Like, 'Okay we've been through the war together already.' I never even gave any thought to it being awkward. I know how much I've grown up since then. I would assume that she's grown up the same amount."
Back in the day, the two stars were known to have engaged in several heated exchanges on the original show's set, but Garth, 36, recently admitted to TV's Extra that the days of "crazy drama's going on" have since past. For her part, Doherty says she's learned from her previous missteps.
"I'm not a person to dwell on the past, like at all," she told the magazine. "I'm very much about the future and moving forward and trying to better myself as a human being and trying to learn from my mistakes."
While they arrived separately, Doherty and Garth were both on hand for Saturday night's exclusive premiere party held in Malibu, Calif. As for what the two stars have chatted about since their reunion, Doherty says, Dancing with the Stars, of course!
"I love that show," said Doherty. "I wouldn't be on it in a million years, but I wanted to see if she had fun doing it."
"I had so many questions about her kids and her husband too," she added, "but mostly Dancing With the Stars."
