HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Those hoping for some juicy gossip on Selena Gomez's rumored romance with Nick Jonas will have to wait.
In an interview appearing in the latest issue of TV Guide, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star shys away from confirming if she's indeed dating the teen pop star.
"I've gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year," she tells the magazine. "Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we're not confirming anything."
One male star Gomez is willing to talk about is actor Shia LaBeouf.
"I've had a crush on him ever since he was on 'Even Stevens,' " the 16-year-old star confesses. "It's very far-fetched, but I would love to have Shia on 'Wizards.' "
As for being a role model, Gomez tells the magazine that she hopes people will realize that she's still young and maturing.
"I'm going to do the best that I can do, but I am 16 and I am going to make mistakes – no one's perfect," the Disney star says.
Gomez admits that she's "quite boring," telling TV Guide that she enjoys hitting the bowling alley and watching movies in her free time. She also reveals that there's one area where she does stand out as a grown-up.
"When it comes to my wardrobe, I think I dress like a 30-year-old woman," says Gomez.
