HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sarah Palin is shooting down reports that she and husband Todd Palin both had affairs and will soon be divorcing.
"Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story," spokeswoman Meg Stapleton posted on Palin's Facebook page Saturday in response to the divorce rumor. "There is no truth to the recent 'story' (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing."
"The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family," she added of the scandal.
The denial followed published reports on several Alaskan Web sites, which alleged both spouses had engaged in extramarital affairs. The former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate was said to be considering a move to Montana with a divorce looming.
"Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to 'quit making things up.' We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it," said Stapleton.
