HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Salma Hayek is heading for the altar after all.
According to Variety, the 41-year-old star and her producing partner, Jose Tamez, are joining forces for a reality series centered around weddings.
The hour-long reality show, which is currently being shopped to several networks, would offer "a unique take" on nuptials, the trade publication says.
The new series is a collaboration with Merv Griffin Television exec Roy Bank, who developed Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader."
Hayek, who already has one successful series in ABC's "Ugly Betty," recently called off her engagement to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. The couple became engaged in March 2007 and welcomed their first daughter, Valentina Paloma, last September.
In April, Hayek admitted to Glamour magazine that she wasn't in a rush to walk down the aisle.
"Do I think we are going to get married? Probably. Will it make a difference? I hope not. I don't have a need for marriage," the actress and producer said.
"You want to grow old with someone, you want to have a partner and to have children — we have all those things," she added. "Some people need the commitment. Maybe we'll just make the party!"
