HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper will soon be partners on the big screen.
The Hollywood hunks have signed on for a buddy-cop movie written by Sheldon Turner, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Reynolds, 33, and Cooper, 35, will play a couple of friends who are San Francisco cops. Striking out on their own, they ask their fathers - former partners on the police force - to help them solve a case.
The untitled film is described as an edgier R-rated version of the Lethal Weapon series.
Reynolds next stars in the indie thriller Buried, opening next month. He is also playing the title role in the superhero picture Green Lantern, arriving in theaters next June.
Cooper will next star in the The Dark Fields, which hits theaters in January. He'll follow that with the highly anticipated sequel to The Hangover, which is slated to arrive next May.
