HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rihanna is sporting some new ink, thanks to a visit from BangBang.
The 21-year-old singer recently flew the New York-based body artist out to Los Angeles, where he inked a gun tattoo under her right arm.
On his MySpace page, BangBang explained that Rihanna originally wanted a handgun at the top of each arm, but decided against it because of her lucrative modeling contract with Cover Girl.
"I really wanted to put it here [on her arms]... She loved 'em," he wrote. "But, Cover Girl wouldn't have liked it much... and they pay the bills! Ended up doing it on her ribs."

It isn't the first time that BangBang has been put to work by Rihanna, who also has a well-known star design on her back and the word "Shhh..." on her index finger.
The new body ink comes on the heels of Rihanna allegedly being assaulted by her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, in February. Brown is due back in court on April 6.
