HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have tied the knot in a secret wedding, Latina magazine reports.
The couple reportedly married yesterday in a small ceremony on an island. The couple's impromptu wedding was "very implusive" and guests included rapper Da Brat, a source tells the magazine.
Rumors of an engagement have been a hot tabloid topic ever since the couple's night out last Saturday, in which Carey's film, "Tennessee," premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. During the evening, the "Touch My Body" singer was flashing some bling on her ring finger.
The couple later cozied up at the film's afterparty at the Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune. When asked at the party by People magazine what he loved about his superstar girlfriend, Cannon kept it simple.
"Everything," the 27-year-old rapper-actor said.
The 39-year-old Carey and her younger beau met when they worked together on her "Bye Bye" music video in March.
Carey was previously married to music mogul Tommy Mottola, the man responsible for launching her career. The former couple divorced in 1998.
This is the first marriage for Cannon, who has had several high-profile relationships. In addition to previously dating Christina Milian and Kim Kardashian, he was briefly engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last year.
